Toast slices with alp cheese

Ingredients for 4 persons

  •  2 – 3 eggs
  • ½ dl white wine
  • 500 gr Le Gruyère d’alpage AOP or another hard alp cheese
  • 80 gr flour
  • 1 clove of garlic, pressed
  • 8 slices whole-grain bread
  • Butter
  • Rapeseed or sunflower oil for frying
  • Pepper or another spice



Grate the alp cheese and mix with all the ingredients. Lightly roast or toast the slices of bread in the frying pan with some butter.

Spread the mixture on the other side of the slices and deep-fry upside down in a 1 cm oil bath for 3 minutes till yellowish brown.

Leave to dry on absorbent paper. Season to taste and serve warm with salad.
